Obituary for Russell Reeve Lalevée

Russell Reeve Lalevée Jr. passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 after a short illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 28th, 1940 to Russell Lalevée Sr. & Anne Hiney Lalevée . He grew up in Hillside, NJ and graduated from Hillside High School in 1958 where he excelled in track and field & received his degree from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ. He also served his country stationed in Landstuhl, Germany. After college, he began his long & successful career in the transportation industry working for Merck/Sea-Land & OOCL, which took his family all over the US & the Philippines. After retirement, Russell & Joan spent winters in Jensen Beach, Florida while residing in Minnetrista, MN in the summer months. Besides his family, his other great passions were hunting, playing golf, & fishing for the big one in the Atlantic or any MN lake. He is survived by his sisters Mary Jane Copenhaver, Nancy Lalevée , Rosemary Carroll, and Marian (Paul) Dubovik. He is also survived by his children Russell (Renee) Lalevée III, Sean (Joleen) Lalevée, and Maureen (Russell) Lindquist. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife Joan Annette Lalevée in 2008. We wanted to give special thanks to Nicole, Mary, Naomi, Judy & the rest of the incredible staff at the Masonic Home of Bloomington, MN for providing the best care a family could ask for.
