Condolence From: Cyndi and Mark Broin
Condolence: It is with a deep sense of sorrow, Cyndi and I bid John farewell. But we do so with eternal gratitude for having been privileged to have known and loved him, and with great respect for the suffering he endured.

He was one of the kindest, loving, trustworthy and hardworking individuals a person could count on as a friend. He loved his family with all his heart, and placed them first in all he did in life.

No man can ask for more than the sincere love and admiration of his family, and the highest levels of respect from all those whose lives he touched. We genuinely believe here was such a man.

In our mind’s eye, we can still see John and hear his enthusiastic and happy voice. We know he had a wonderful life, and, were he standing here, today, would graciously and humbly give thanks to all who made that experience possible. We have no doubt he would wish the best life has to offer to us all. We also have no doubt, as he turned to walk into the great unknown, with his infectious smile, he has challenged us to be grateful for what we have, and not go into the darkness ourselves until each of us has done at least one meaningful thing to make the world a better place.

John will live on, as his parents were joined and lived on in him. One of the immutable truths of having existed is that there is no death, but only another chance at living-- as long as life continues to be passed from parent to child. Each of us, in fact, after millions and millions of years still retains a part of the union of matter and energy in which life, and ultimately human conscious awareness, first struggled from the abys. It is this tie that binds us all.

We know we will see John again every time we greet Johnny, Tommy and Monica. We will be reminded of him each time we see Jenny. What a legacy this man has left the world, and what an example he has set for us to follow.
