Mary Jo Fulkerson (nee Huber) was born January 10, 1940 to John Huber and Mary Monica Bristol. She was the youngest of seven children. Mary Jo was born, raised and ultimately died in Excelsior. Though she came from a small town, she loved to see the world through travel. She was a contracts manager for over 40 years. Outside of work, she enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening. She was a long-time volunteer and choir member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was on the Excelsior City Counsel for a number of years and helped many people through her work with the Excelsior ICA food shelf. Mary Jo passed away October 23, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers John "Jack", and Patrick, sisters Monica, Margaret, and Sally and son in-law Larry. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Fulkerson who stayed by her side each day during her journey. Also her sister Susan McCarthy, four children Margy Vagt, Patrick Schoenecker (Ann), Katy McKee (John), David Moore (Tina), Tom's children Dan Fulkerson (Ann), Kristin Grebe (Scott), Andrea Fulkerson (Charlie), eleven grandchildren and many other loving family and friends. Mass to be held Nov 6th at 2:00 with visitation at 1:00, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Excelsior. Memorials preferred to Catholic Charities.
