Obituary for Virginia Ann "Ginny" Houck (Coyle)
Virginia (Ginny) Houck, aged 89 of Spring Park, MN transitioned from this life peacefully on March 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Frances Coyle of Hopkins, MN; siblings, Hugh, Marion, and Pat; husband of 66 years, David Houck; daughter-in-law, Linda*. Survived by daughters, Susan (Rick Gordon); Barbara (Paul McNerney); sons, Bill (Mary); Tom (Linda*); sister, Irene Olson; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She will be dearly missed by all and forever remembered for her strength, courage, kindness, creativity, quick wit and how she enjoyed a good laugh. Her attitude of gratitude and deep belief in God’s love carried her through all of life’s trials and tribulations. She was a generous giver to others in so many little, meaningful ways and never expected anything in return. Nor was she a complainer. She could take a punch and then carry on in her loving ways. Her family and friends meant more to her than anything in this world.
There will be a private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A family celebration of Ginny’s life will be announced at a later date.
